Everything seems so unrealistic. You miss one point though: they actually DO try to give a half-assed explanation for these powers even on the first episode. Mohinder says something about how genetics can unlock "teleportation, flight," rather than the more likely 5th toe or something... all while he's staring at a string of ones and zeroes on a computer program that would probably be enough bytes to form the characters in this sentence. AND matrix did it first. However I must add, the real culprits here are the script writers. Most of this dialogue was written either by a very dumb six year old or a very smart chimpanzee. My friend told me if I liked Smallville, I would like Heroes, but dear god Smallville's writing is soooo much better. Peter: "I just feel.... like... I have a destiny. Ali larter as Niki has so far managed to make a great performance from the shitty dialogue she was given, and so has Adrian Pasdar as Nathan.
