Please read Bai Ling’s blog. That’s about all I need to say. In it she talks about singing ‘Smoke gets in my eyes’ and thanks her many fans for all their support through this difficult time. What fans?

High School Musical: The Failing Grade

Posted by tvondvdcritic on January 14, 2008

Bad things come in threes. It’s confirmed that High School Musical 3 is a go, and this time it’s not just a Disney Channel movie, it’s full length feature film set to hit theaters. If I never watched this movie on TV the first two editions,  I sure as hell won’t pay $12 to see it in the theater.

Fans of the movie can once again see Zac Efron, who is the butchest woman I’ve ever seen, Ashley Tisdale who has a new nose so it could help her breathing, but can it help her acting, and Vanessa Hudgens who was involved in a nude photo scandal that was every creepy 50 year old pedophiles wet dream.

You better believe if I was principal of that high school I would have suspended them all just for being annoying little twats.

American Idol Preview

Posted by tvondvdcritic on January 10, 2008

It’s January so it must be American Idol time. What was once an entertainin audition month, has now become the same old tired ridiculous freak show of wannabees and rejects. Yes it was amusing the first 75,000 times we saw some weird looking guy sing ‘Like A Virgin’. It made us feel like we weren’t alone in the bad voice catergory. Now however, Idol, especially the last few years, has gone way overboard with the audition part. They extend it to last longer, and is it just me or do they get worse each year. Oh I forgot that’s what America wants to see. Count me out.

Honestly I haven’t watched a whole season since number 2, and very rarely after that. If I wanted to hear bad singers I would sing to myself. I’m not stupid American Idol. I know and the country knows that these auditioners have no right even making it on tv, and you just put them on to get a reaction and you still think it’s funny. Get a better since of humor.

Don’t get me started on the actual competition. Karaoke Idol is more like it. Basically, I don’t like this show. It’s one of those things though, if you live in this country, you need to know the whos-who on Idol. So if there is a Sanjaya part 2 this year, I’ll hate him, but I won’t look away either. It’s the stuff blog dreams are made of.

The People Have Spoken

Posted by tvondvdcritic on January 9, 2008

Does anybody here actually watch and/or care about the People’s Choice Awards? I’d like to know why they were televised and we can’t have the Golden Globes.

Some of the winners include Drew Barrymore for Favorite Leading Lady. Has she even made any movies lately? Wait, scratch that. Has she made anything that’s not crap lately? And Female Action Star, Keira Knightley. The only action she does is sticking her fingers down her throat.

Golden Globes Off The Air

Posted by tvondvdcritic on January 8, 2008

Well it’s official. There will be no Golden Globes televised this year. However, fans of hour long news confrences talking about the strike will be happy to know that’s what will take it’s place. They also will sprinkle in the announcement of the winners in the broadcast.  My dream of seeing a pitiful show is smashed, I was really hoping to see Rumer Willis steal the spotlight and accept all the awards for everyone. That way she could at least get a little self esteem since she has to look the way she does.

Jamie Lynn Loses Job

Posted by tvondvdcritic on January 4, 2008

Last week I told you that I thought Jamie Lynn could give big sis Britney a run for her money for most trashy Spears.  Now it seems she’s one step closer since this soon to be Mom is now unemployed. Nickelodeon has reportedly canned the show ‘Zoey 101’ due to baby Mama drama. Luckily for Jamie Lynn and her 7 fans, she had already filmed the 4th season of the show.

Conservatist Back On The View

Posted by tvondvdcritic on January 4, 2008

Everyone’s least hated conservatist will return to ‘The View’ on Monday. Elisabeth Hasselbeck will return to the show after having a hiatus to have her son, Taylor Thomas. Is she serious? Taylor Thomas? I hope her husband’s name isn’t Johnathon.

I never get to watch the view, but I always enjoyed reading gossip about it the morning after, when Rosie O’Donnell was on and started all kinds of gay trouble. Now they have Whoopi, boring! Although deep down inside I’m sure she has some gay trouble in her. Gay is written all over her manish features.

Last Tila Tequila Post Ever

Posted by tvondvdcritic on January 4, 2008

3 Tila Tequila stories in one week? I know, I hate myself for that too, but hopefully I’ve taught you to hate her along with me by now.

Now there are reports that her chosen mate from the first season of ‘A Shot At Love’ broke up with her, enabling her to do a second season. I’m gonna take his side on this one. Reports from his end claim that after the show she did not even call him and MTV would not give him her number.

Another reason reality shows don’t have much reality.

Late Night Hosts Return

Posted by tvondvdcritic on January 3, 2008

David Letterman returned to work Wednesday sporting a full beard amongst controversy. Joining him in his late night return was Jay Leno. Letterman is my preferred choice of show, although I don’t watch either too much.

I’m so over this writers strike. And if these comedians were funny themselves, why can’t they make their own jokes? Letterman worked out an agreement to let writers work for him, and Leno used old jokes. One thing I think is ridiculous, is every late night talk show host that returned last night (Conan O’Brien, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel also retuned) all said they supported the strike cause and said they were right. Yet, they all walk past picket lines. I think we should have got scabs to host the shows. Imagine someone like Courtney Love, Britney Spears or Paris Hilton hosting. What a delicious mess that would be.

The return of the hosts is a big deal in the world of television and the thing that grabs my attention? The guests that night. Chingy and Bob Saget. What?

America, Meet HALO

Posted by tvondvdcritic on January 2, 2008

There are all these rumors on the internet that Milo Ventimilgia and Hayden Panettiere are officially a couple. That’s all based on reports that their families approve of each other. Now I don’t care if they are a couple or not, but this is a perfect example of taking a small piece of a story and running with it. Who cares if they are going out? Why is America so obsessed with tabloids and celebrities? What’s up with these stupid names they give couples? HaLo? (Hayden and Milo) And before you say, ‘But wait a minute, you write a blog about celebrities!’, I do mine out of hatred, not admiration.

And on a side note, isn’t Milo the pointiest person on earth? Yuk!
